Reviewing the Waterpik WP-900
It has a lot of features, and it’s pretty small so it does not take up too much space on your bathroom. For that, I will give the manufacturers of it a big thumbs up.
This flosser is manufactured to be used by everyone, no matter your age or gender. It comes with 5 different flosser tips which can be changed very easily, and each of them has a different purpose, so if you have braces, tooth implants, sensitive gums or any other special requirement, just plug the correct flosser tip in and you’re good to go.
On the flosser, there is a pressure setting which you can adjust based on your needs. Not many flossers have 10 different pressure settings, so this is a great thing for people with sensitive gums.
It comes with a 13-ounce reservoir, and I liked that a lot because on some flossers the reservoir is too small, and you need to fill it up at least twice to fully clean your mouth. However, with the Waterpik WP-900 this is not the case. With Waterpik you can floss your mouth completely, and there will still be water left over (depending on the pressure setting). There is nothing more annoying than having to stop mid-floss to refill a reservoir.
The flossers’ handle is very easy to hold, and on the front side of it there is a pause button, so if you accidentally find yourself with too much water on your mouth, all you have to do is press the pause button on the handle, and the water flow will stop immediately.
The tip can rotate 360-degrees, so you can clean every part of your mouth with ease. It basically has everything you need to have great oral health, and it’s great to clean plaque, left-over food particles and other unwanted substances.
The electric toothbrush is also very nice, and it has 2 speed settings. One is for maximum plaque removal (high-speed) and one is for gentle cleaning, so using the slow-speed in the morning and high-speed before you go to sleep will guarantee you good oral health.
It is recommended to brush your teeth for at least 2 minutes to have a healthy mouth, but you probably are too lazy to count, and never done it, right? Well you don’t have to count anymore because the brush also has a 2-minute timer with 30 second intervals. You can start brushing the left side of your mouth, and the other side after the timer beeps. That’s a pretty cool feature.
Of course, every good thing has its bad side. The bad side of Waterpik WP-900 is that once the battery dies out (in 1-2 years), you will have to purchase a new one because they do not offer battery-replacement. However, if you know how to replace them yourself you can do it easily by just removing the seal at the bottom and you will have access to the battery. The batteries are 2 basic AAA batteries which can be bought for around $10 at your local store, but they are not that easy to replace if you do not know what you are doing, so I would suggest you take it to a professional.
Basically, I would call this a do-it-at-home dentist check-up, because it can do almost all the cleaning that a dentist does, and it’s free!
Overall it’s a great product and it is not expensive for what it can do, so you definitely get a lot of value for your money. It has storage, 5 flosser tips, an electric toothbrush etc. Basically everything you need for your oral health can be found in this small device and will last you for a long time if you are careful while using it.
